Special Ops: Pirate Ship Bookends

Today's Special Ops is all about books and how to keep them supported in style.
I love the look of old maps and Pirate Ships.
This pair of bookends needed an update and Craft Smith paper and Funfare Stencil were right there to help me out. Stop by my blog Scrappin' Chaos for more details on the paper and stencil.
Step 1:
Trace book end then trim a slight edge from that shape.
The paper adheres better if it isn't flush with the edge.
Step 2.
Use washi tape to mask the stencil.
Step 3.
Ink the exposed portion of the stencil.
Dust with embossing powder, heat to set.
 Step 4.
Repeat masking and setting process with each color of ink.
Step 5.
Sand wood surface of bookend.
Adhere paper using Yes Paste or similar adhesive.
When project is dry add washi tape to frame edges.
Books and classy bookends are a most versatile design element.
Get decorating and be sure to post a photo to our facebook page so we can see your handiwork!
A list of supplies can be seen on my blog Scrappin' Chaos.

Scrap On!
